The affectionately and appropriately named ‘Junk Castle’ was built in the 1970s by a local high school art teacher named Vic Moore as part of his fine arts master’s degree, and over the years, he and his wife, Bobbie, added other comical dwellings to the property.
It is located in Pullman, on private property, along 195 and is constructed completely of recycled, scrapped and salvaged materials.
Together he and his wife dedicated countless hours to making additions to the small castle that sits perched on a hill with windows made out of the glass from washing machine doors and old car windows.
The exterior is built from various pieces including old car parts, reclaimed sheet metal, household appliance parts, and other materials that Victor put together in his workshop.
